Kids and Forests
A very direct way to reach children is through their schools. So far we have gained access to Understanding Forest Conservation for Students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah: Learning Assistance Program for Islamic Schools, in both English and Indonesian. Madrasah Ibtidaiyah is a privately run (usually by a yayasan) Islamic primary school. These madrasah are found all over Indonesia. This effort was supported by the Australian Government (2008), and for those who have questions, feel free to email info@lapis.or.id.
We hope to gain access (or website linking us) to other curricular information for children. If you have suggestions or contributions, please contact Widya Prajanthi at w.prajanthi@cgiar.org
