Analysis of existing policy environment in Meghalaya impacting livelihoods of forest poor- A review report with an annotated bibliography containing detailed description of the existing natural resources and land use policies and their influence on poor peoples' livelihoods priorities and strategies in Meghalaya.
- A policy brief containing specific recommendations to how various policy instruments can be made more effective to create income and employment opportunities for rural poor in Meghalaya.
- A manuscripts, based on the review, to be submitted for publication in a refereed journal, in collaboration with Principal Scientist and Project Coordinator.
- Forest products markets, livelihood links, and potential for growth
- A literature review synthesizing available information and analysis on the role and potential of forests and other natural resources in the livelihoods of the poor in Meghalaya and an identification of further research needs, along with an annotated bobliography of the relevant literature.
- A policy brief containing specific recommendations to how forest product based income-generation strategies can be made more effective to create income and employment opportunities for rural poor in Meghalaya.
- A manuscript, based on the review, to be submitted for publication in a refereed journal, in collaboration with Principal Scientist and Project Coordinator.
- A GIS database for Meghalaya, Meta-data file and copies of raw data.
- Analysis of the livelihoods impact of the NERCRMP
- Review report and detailed field research plan.
- Final technical and financial report will provide details of the livelihoods context in study area, analysis of process of change brought about by interventions and presents key recommendations. The financial report will contain a full accounting of funds expended.
