  1. Research outcomes identifying more effective ways to support forest-based livelihoods through development projects in India, China and Nepal.

  2. Direct capacity building with partners and IFAD project staff in income generation strategies for the forest poor in India, China and Nepal.

  3. Cohort of resource people (among CIFOR, partners and leading thinkers/practitioners) for advice and consultation about poverty alleviation strategies based on linkages between income generation, empowerment and forest livelihood.

  4. Technical notes on strategies and lessons learnt about investment opportunities for enhancing income of the rural poor for IFAD, partners and other development organizations

  5. Dissemination and capacity building of selected IFAD loan projects and 2-3 smaller workshops for these projects to train their own staff.

  6. Dissemination to IFAD project managers and senior staff through a final report and presentation of results.
