What we do

  • We conduct participatory action research that engages local communities and minority groups. The objective is to connect research, business and policy in multi-stakeholder platforms in the development and implementation of adaptation strategies.
  • Through a regional science-policy dialogue we identify and prioritise forest-based sectors (like energy, water, non-timber forest products) to assess climate risks and vulnerability of the livelihoods linked to these sectors. The objective is to plan adaptation strategies.
  • We assess the vulnerability of gender and minority groups including indigenous communities, to highlight their special needs for climate change adaptation, and explore ways of engaging their participation in national adaptation planning processes and policy formulation.
