Forests, Wood and Livelihoods: Finding a Future For All The Crawford Fund and the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR)
This year’s Crawford Fund conference examined forests and forestry research. Its particular focus was how sustainable forest management, access to forest products and access to markets are crucial for poor people who rely on forests and forest products for their survival.
The opening address was presented by Australia’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, The Hon. Alexander Downer MP, and key note speakers included CIFOR’s David Kaimowitz and Brian Belcher.
