By accumulating the world's largest collection of abstracts and bibliographic references to worldwide biological and medical literature and organizing this information for easy access, BIOSIS provides vital sources of information for life scientists. Community-Based Natural Resource Management Network (CBNRM Net) provides networking capabilities that makes it possible for people to exchange experiences, manage relevant knowledge, and support learning across countries, sectors, cultures, and languages, and in this way achieve better results.

International Network on EthnoforestryThe mission of INEFis to promote ethical retrieval, sharing and field application of indigenous knowledge on forest management (ethnoforestry) in order to ensure the equity of knowledge for livelihood security to indigenous people and sustainable forest management across the globe. Participatory Avenues promotes the diffusion of Participatory 3-D Modeling (P3DM) as best practice for merging indigenous technical knowledge and traditional spatial information. The web promotes the culture of knowledge dissemination and acts as focal point for sharing information and technical progress on community-based mapping and Public Participation GIS (PPGIS). P3DM has a wide range of applications ranging from collaborative research and planning for natural resource management, to dealing with conflict resolution and resource tenure.

PMC -Participatory Management Clearinghouse- is a joint initiative of IUCN (The World Conservation Union), the Bureau of the Convention on Wetlands (Ramsar), and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). It is a service that facilitates the dissemination of information concerning participatory management of natural resources (Collaborative Management, Community-Based Management and Indigenous Peoples Management). The PMC links existing networks/institutions to promote a better flow of rich and diverse experience, providing a common space to share lessons learned. The main point of this free service is to facilitate sharing of information, but it also gives different organizations or people a chance to showcase the work that they are currently doing or have completed
