Wetlands International was created in 1995 by the merger of the Asian Wetland Bureau, the International Waterfowl and Wetlands Research Bureau and Wetlands for the Americas. Three regional headquarters govern operations for: Wetlands International - Asia Pacific in Malaysia, Wetlands International - Africa, Europe and the Middle East in the Netherlands, and Wetlands International - Americas in Canada.

Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR)
