High-Level Meeting on Forests and Climate, 23rd July 2007, Sydney, Australia

The High-Level Meeting hosted by the Australian government between the 23 and the 25 July 2007 will provide the opportunity for countries to have an informal, strategic-level dialogue on forests and climate beyond formal debate. One of the key speakers at the event is CIFOR Director General, Frances Seymour. Ms. Seymour will participate on a panel in the opening plenary to discuss the causes of deforestation and forest degradation in developing countries.
