A workshop on spatial planning and new remote sensing technologies to support REDD implementation in Indonesia will be held in Gedung BPPT Jakarta on July 28, 2009. The workshop will explore national level spatial data acquisition and their application to spatial planning. Other topics will include linking spatial data to forest resource information systems for carbon accounting and exploring the political and technical issues around REDD and remote sensing technologies.
